Blogtober 2026 - Day 21

 

Lots of websites down because of codingerrors in PHP. Interesting, as this flaw was already known in 2014.

Well, this fits in the whole trend of making people aware of how vulnerable we are for all sorts of attacks.

Or goverment is preparing us for war step by step.

They first wanted us to have candles... in case the electricity went down.
Then a radio...
The bottles of water for three days.
Then a large box with all sorts of stuff, including waterfilters and other things.

And now they try to make us aware we must have plans: where to go, where to meet...

In 1995 there was a lot of flooding and as we live below sea level, in a polder, we were warned to put our valuable stuff upstairs, and be evacuating ready.

So we had plans for the kids.
Where the small ones would go, how, who would pick them up and where.
Where the olders ones could stay.
Meeting places.
Ways of contact.
Friends who would be willing to be an in between contact in case people couldn't reach each other.

We had a whole system, and the older kids still remember it.

Now I feel lucky that they are all adults.

But I have less friends here who can help... and they live too far away.

In most evacuation plans there is nothing about medication, nothig about places to go for people who deal with diseases, like diabetes, heartissues, etc etc.

There is nothing arranged for people who are not mobile...

How about you?
Are you prepared for an emergency? 
For war?

Because that's what they are trying to prepare us for.
