Why? Bird. Update.

Someone asked why I was talking politics.

I am, because in this part of the world the threat of war is present every day.
We see images of the war nearby during every day.  Many Ukrainian women and children have fled the country and found a safe place here. They are integrating very fast, so we talk with them regularly. They hear from their contacts, we hear from them...
and their accounts resemble those we heard from our grandparents and parents about WW2 when the nazies flooded our streets, pulled people out of their houses, or just shot someone on the streets because they felt like doing that. The daily struggle to feed the children, not knowing whom to trust or distrust, etc etc.

I am talking politics, because I am Dutch, and we talk freely about politics and religion, and a lot more. We love to debate, and we do.

I am also telling what I see because my information might add to what is allowed to be publicised in certain countries.

And I am writing about my experience, because we are at the moment a lot closer to the burning core than many others. And I think it's good other people can see what is going on here.

Watching a political discussion at TV and there is the boy I sat beside in church during my young years. He is an old man...
I always thought he was one or two years older than I am, but he is a year younger.

He looks 20 years older now.

Perhaps, when I look in the mirror, I find myself looking 20 years older today.....

Last week I had pinned some bread on the tree, fr the birds, not for other animals.
Today they had a feast!!
It was so funny to see them eating from the bread and hanging on the bird feeder.

When I was in the back garden a bit later one of the blackbirds almost landed on my shoulder. At the last moment he or she saw I wasn't a tree...
He landed on the ground and looked at me. I could not think anything else than that he looked amazed.

Maybe it was the blackbird that was sitting so near me last summer?

There has been contact with the White House about the preparations for the exercise last week. So it would be very clear that it all would be in the interest of the USA too.

So one way or another they are in a stream of thoughts that is far from realistic.

This thursday the European countries will meet about the subject.
Right now they are considering increasing tariffs too.

I wonder if Trump realizes how he will go into history when he blows up the NATO. When he withdraws his participation he will also withdraw support for Ukraïne. That way he will give Russia free play to go into war wherever it wants.
That means war here.

But... he will also loose the support all the European countries can provide to keep the USA safe. He might think he can deal whatever comes to america, but that is the question. 
America will stand alone.
Many americans experience desintegration of society.

And again the comparison with 1933 and the years after that has been drawn... more often than before...


The choice is for the people in the streets and in their houses...
