Losar is the Tibetan New Year.
It's a multi-day festival.
The first day of the lunisolar calendar.
This year is the year of the female woodsnake.

Losar is the most important festival.
The first days are dedicated to the family.
That's why certain western information states that it will be this year from febr 28 to March 4.

The whole New Year's festival lasts 15 days an consists of all sorts of celebrations, ranging from harvest to strict religious, and ends with the Butterlamp Festival.
