Looking back I had a great time in England, but it was not all as good as it could have been.
Son1 started tired and complained about pain in his leg. (He had an accident a couple of years ago, resulting in all sorts of pins and plates in his lower leg.)
At the hotel he told me I might wake up alone, because he would be gone home or to the hopital.
Of course I told him I would go with him...
After we were dressed in the morning, a lot of snapping, he decided to go to the campsite. (I think he forgot to take his painkillers the day before.)
No problems at the camp.
When returning he was super unkind. He always walks fast, but I can't do that with shorter legs and medication to keep my heartrate down.
He walks with a crutch, so people step aside when he gets near, but they are not going out of my way.
So he had to wait for me a couple of times.
At the last hotel he was aksed if we had problems with stairs. He should have been honest, and we would have been places at a lower floor. Now we had to climb 4 floors! (Nice room, though).
My knee started hurting again.. but I had a brace.. so I dealt with that.
During the trainride home he said he would never travel with me again. I was slow, didn't listen etc etc.
I told myself he was just throwing his own pain and discomfort on me.
But son2 came over to our house to warn me.
He had posted a weird photo form me on the veterans' app ad made a nasty comment about having to pull me three times away from busses and cars, so I should never go again to London or needed to be watched.
I was very offended. We had traffic lights in the area where we were and he always walked in front of me.
But even without traffic lights, I can deal with the London traffic very well.
So he left me with a lot of ill feelings about a trip that was otherwise a pleasure.
This will take some time...
I am quite understanding, but he is a grown man and should behave more respectful.
I don't mind he has got Asperger. This is not the way he usually acts.
