NaBloPoMo 2026 - Day 3

I was quite happy to stay at home today.
Especially as it was again a painful awakening.  I could hardly get down the stairs.
All day I was extremely tired, had brainfog and a dry and itchy skin: kidneys dipping again.

Daughter was to the GP.
She was surprised to find her own GP would be away for the next 2 weeks, without having said anything to the patients.
The female GP was rather outspoken about the bloodvalues we had been worried sick about for days.

"The hemoglobulin meter they use at the GP center is already a long time out of date and should have been replaced a while ago."

WHAT ??????

So I filed a formal complaint to the GP center,
and the health inspection.
How on earth can they use bad instruments or say something like that?

Did a lot of laundry in between all the other things that kept me hostage all day and evening.
That means: 3 items from me and the rest of the whole machine stuff from my daughter.
Well, her room is kind of tidy before we leave.

We had a long time discussing whether we would go to England or not, considering the situation with my other daughter.
She felt a bit better today, but we know epilepsy can have quiet times...

Finally we came to an agreement.

Tomorrow she'll be fetched to go to stay with a friend.
There she will stay until we are back.

They will keep us updated.

I was not happy with the initial plan to stay just 5 days, but under these circumstances....

No contact from the council for son4.
I told him that I had called the council on friday and informed them I would be away.
So he won't get a call from them.

He called me a long time.

One of the items was that they offered him an appartment more near to us.
He will go viewing it next week.

I had trouble concentrating because the kidneys have a life of their own.
But I had to go on...

So informed my own GP about what happened the past weeks, that I need some tests, and told her that I am fed up with doctors pointing to others to get some tests done.

Someone is pushing son 4 (classic autistic) to work on an animal farm.
We found out the reason: he had to fill in a list of activities and items.
There were a lot of sports on it and activities with large groups.
But also "animals".
And he loves cats...

So I had to write a mail to the coordinator to tell her that he made a forced choice for animals, but in his mind it was for cats, not for large farm animals. He is afraid for them.
And as he is highly sensitive to smells......

The trees outside are getting yellow....

But when I had done the main things for today it was getting dark already.

Then the details of my pension for the next year came in.
There is a very tiny rise that won't cover the increase in healthinsurance and other costs...
Maybe another worry. But we'll see...

This thursday the French railway employees will strike.
Son1 was worried about delays and all sorts of other things.
I am not.
Either the train will be cancelled which will be a disaster.
Or things go well, or we'll have a delay. But a delay won't matter much, as we have plenty of time. Normal time of arrival 14.00 hours.
So I joked I will practice my french tomorrow.

Because of the enormous amount of work... I feel I am holding office for 20 hours a day...
I have no small presents for my english friends at all.

In the evening I had the idea to crochet a small bag, in christmascolours. Put a sweet in there.
I can crochet even in the train.
I think my hand will manage to make a couple...

Hope the daughter will fetch the sweets.

Going to bed with the projection in the USA of demeocrats winning.
I hope so for the people there.
