Sun, and training not to worry.

Turned out last month was the warmest March ever!

Not that we had that feeling during the nights. As they were very cold, but... not deep freezing.

Right after warking up the daughter who  lives elsewhere let us know that she felt very ill. So she made e worry... until later in the afternoon she send us photos of... the shopping center!!
Let's say it was part of the training not to worry.

I worked a bit more in the garden, cutting all the branches that came off the tree during pruning.
Had our two klikos full! First the large branches, carefully placed, then the shorter and straighter branches put in the gaps and fulled up with the short cuts of the small branches and twigs.

If one had seen how much of the pile was in those bins! Never expected such a lot to be away already.

Turned out son 2 had not been sleeping in his caravan, but in a hotel. So they could have taken me with them. I wouldn't have spendtime with them anyway, as Paul would have fetched me there and brought me back in the evening.
Such a pity not to have seen another friend who came over for just a day!

With a painfulhand from cutting all those branches, I watched Star Trek... It will be empty when they stop the binge broadcasting on sundays.

In the evening son 4 (classic autism) apped.
He had sneezed during the movement of standing up from his couch, and something snapped under the diaphragm. Probably a pulled or ruptured muscle.

The pain didn't go away in half an hour of sitting quiet, so I called the caretaker... the night attendant.
I explained the situation, but he reacted rather confused. (Not bedtime for him yet.)
"I can leave here as I am alone here."
"Sorry, but your duty is to react to unexpected circumstances... and this is one. You've got a bleeper. And you're supposed to go and see my son and to evaluate his pain to see if he needs a doctor rightaway, tomorrow or just needs a few soothing words and a cup of tea." I heard I had put on the professional voice whch always gets people going.

He went.

Quite unexpected I was called back. They never call back!!
He had seen my son and he was indeed in a lot of pain.
He had checked if organs were involved and he didn think so. Not that he knew anything about medicine, he said, but my son thought that he did and that was most important.
No organs involved, as far as he could see. (Breathing was OK, no blood vomiting.)
If my sonn was allowed a paracetamol.
I said yes, "No problem."
"Good, I've already given him one."
We both laughed.

I said that I hoped he would have an uneventful night.
"I hope so too as I am sleeping myself rich."
We talked a bit and it was fun. Finally someone there who acts and talks in anormal way. Not pretending things, but just being kind and funny and relaxed. Social skills that are needed for the job.

I called my son to ask how he wasdoing now.
He was still in pain, but he liked the night attendant and thought he had alot of medical knowledge. ;)
If something would be the matter during the night he wouldn't hesitate to contact the guy.
That sounded good.
We agreed he would contact his GP in the morning when the pain would be the same.

It took me along time to fall asleep.
Not because I was worrying, but because the allergies got me coughing a lot and created itchy eyes.
I was warned about the birch and the ash and some other kinds of pollen, but being busy with other things I forgot my meds...

Grrrrr....

  1. Oh no...allergies to pollen, etc. are NO fun. Our pollen season is about over here, thank goodness! But I had to take allergy medicine for the past month. I hope you can get yours under control quickly. So glad your son seemed to be "okay", but glad he had a night person on call who could check him out and calm his fears, etc. Praying all is well and that the sore muscle or whatever he pulled will relax and he'll be fine. And funny about the daughter who said she was sick, but later you see pictures of her shopping. That was a quick recovery! Ah! Youth! I am sorry you missed out on the trip where you could've been with your friend for a day. Hopefully the trip you are planning later in the month will be even better for you and you will be feeling much better by then so you can enjoy it more. It sounds like you must be improving if you were able to cut all those branches, etc. That was a lot of work! I can imagine the sore muscles afterwards. I know how that feels. Take care and do something restful today! Better days are coming soon for you!!
