The shoe fits! And more.

After a long search around, asking several people, I found a solution for my very swollen foot myself.

I saw special shoes for 100 euro, saw them at a siliar shop for 60 euro.
They were the same.
So I thought: they are not sold under a special name, so maybe....

And I ordered online at one of those cheap online shops.
For 18 euro!!

They arrived yesterday. 3 days early.
I couldn't wait to try them.

THEY FIT!

As they have a large velcro area, the small foot has a fitting shoe and the three times as high and wide foot has a fitting shoe.
They are not nice...I am not looking like the girl who fled the party at midnight.
But I have shoes to wear when I need to go somewhere.

My foot however hurts like hell.
Regardless of shoe or no shoe.
I can't ask any professional, as none is working for problems like this, thanks to the new year vacation.

Finally got a mail from my work about the insuance: thy will only support financially when I stay an invalid or die.  (And I don't epect them to [ay me when I die!!!)

It will be a lot of months or maybe over a year before someone can tell me this is a lasting issue.

And even then they won't compensate for shoes, braces, crutches, walking boot, creams, additional pay for medications, traffic costs, special clothes (can't wear my normal trousers), extra heating costs and more adjustments.

Because I have done so much for the carers organisation here, they gave me a christmas present of 50 euro. Which is a very nice gesture.
But it's not even enough to visit my classic autistic son for christmas.

Apart from the pain and the changes in my life I don't want to accept yet, I am very grateful for my British and my online friends. Thank you!!!!

Offline, I feel people are not as interested anymore.
In fact: I have disappeared from their lives. It was expected from some people. But I called someone my friend, appeared when she wanted me to visit, listened, etc. I guess I didn't live up to her expectations anymore. I didn even get a christmascard, nor a thank you for the ornament I've sent her.

In the past I've gone through painful experiences too, and my reaction was to buy a new adressbook.
Maybe it's time for that again..
