Inspirational people

I have always loved snow.
As a 4 year old I was allowed to play with the boys on the sleighs.
A few years ago one of the boys saw me online and we had a nice talk about that time.

Maybe those fun, challenging, experiences with those big boys on the slope created my interest in the extreme snow areas in the world.

I was never able to travel to the Mount Everest, but oh, would I have loved to go to the base camp. If we could go with a cardiac team I still would train for it.

The past year I came in contact with a couple of inspirational people. Don't ask me why it happened in 2022.

Don't ask me to mention them all, as some don't want all the attention people create.

But I want to mention two, who are realizing this year what I dreamed about.

Preet Chandri, better known as Polarpreet is at the moment at Antarctica. Travelling, unsupported, with her pulk 1100 km across the continent. It will take between 70 to 75 days to travel the 1100 km.
Right now she is near the pole, pulling the pulk through lots of soft snow.

She updates her family and friends each day for a very short time though satellite phone. I follow her updates at Fb.

Hari Budha Magar will be climbing Mount Everest.
He is a double above-knee amputee, mountaneer, and a real motivator.
I have met him in the past. Don't know where. But one never forgets his smile and personality.

A bit different is Mark Ormrod. He is a triple amputee, Royal Marine-veteran, invictus - athlete. But also a sportsman who sets sportive goals for himself and aims to be inspirational for others, and like the other two he is.
Recently he set a Guinness World Record as the fastest man to swim 1 km in open water with 1 arm.

3 people who have made me think in a certain way.

Thank you!!
