- If you have a tree up what is on the top?
With all the physical problems I haven't been able to get the tree up.
But... in my miniature house 1:24 I have a tree up and as I couldn't find an angel or the traitional top-ornament, I made a star in it. - White lights or multi colored?
In the house multi coloured.
But I do like a real tree in silver-red or silver-blue. So a bi-coloured tree. - Church service? Candlelight service, bell choir?
We don't have that here.
I have been in the choir and a solo singer many years. After that I becae part of the organising group, doing the readings and such.
Later I organised the christmasservices. With the last shepherd's mass being a huge success.
No the church here has become an incrowd.
And my religious iews have changed a lot. So I don't belong to them aanymore. - What is on the Christmas Eve menu?
What's in the house. So nothing special.
People seem not to be aware that when you can't walk you can't cook or get the groceries in. Nor get to the door to receive what is delivered.
Only my english friends realised this, so I got a box (long beforehand announced so I could arrange someone to fetch it at the door) with a few sorts of chocolates, cookies and nibbles, (al diabetes friendly), and ofcourse: tea. So I can do something special.
It's the first christmas alone.
Which I don't really mind.
But I feel bothered by the advertisements on TV and the hype of overeating and surrounding yourself with all sorts of luxuries while there is so much needed in the world around us.
It makes me feel an outcast.
I have a roof over my head, heating, something to eat, clothes to wear. I am OK with that.
But all the hype makes me feel I should feel different.
I am available for a talk for the veterans, and I know some will use that, because they need a listening ear and/or a reply.
Others tell me I should not work on christmas, certainly not as a volunteer.
I guess they have forgotten so many others work during christmas: at hospitals, in traffic etc etc etc.
One of my boys is a security guard and will be very, very busy. But he will pop in for a few minutes.
Enjoy your christmas eve.
