- May’s First Glimpse — What is the very first thing you notice or feel when May arrives each year?
I'm happy each year is different, so "each year" provides no answer.
This year I was looking forward to the springcamp with my friends and veterans.
But it's not that a different date on the calendar changes my feelings. - Simple May Joys — What small pleasures do you look forward to in May — flowers, breezes, routines, or traditions?
Looking forward to flowers has already been earlier this year.
Now the springflowers, like tulips, are gone. The trees have leaves again.
And we already had a record high temperature for the date.
May 5 is our liberation day.
I used to be happy about it. But that was the time of free concerts and people going to town for an icecream and the music.
Now everything needs to be paid, and there are large screens to prevent people from seeing too much.
So I am not going.
When I'm back from the camp I'll put my nice sea-themed items in the greenhouse again and try to read an hour each evening there.
Maybe I'll manage to write the books I want to be written. - May Memories — Do you have a favorite May memory from childhood, family life, or recent years?
The springcamps. - May Intentions — What gentle goals or hopes do you carry into this new month?
Maybe for many May feels like a new year had begun.
With all the violence in the world....
It's a nice question... but gentle goals and hopes...
I wish I would have been able to go to Buddha Day in Amsterdam...
.

Hope you enjoy your time at spring camp! Have a happy May!
