- As evenings are long, temperatures drop and we have more time to dream and ponder, are you pondering or dreaming of anything right now?
Of being able to walk again and going to the people and places in the UK I love and discover new places.
But I don't think I have more time to dream and ponder. People know I am at home and at the couch, so.... - Day dreaming , singing, humming even, can lift your mood and change the entire state of your health. Do you daydream or sing during the day ? Now that you know it can improve health will you try it?
I sing rather often. I also like to take one of my instruments and make some music.
I don't daydream often at the moment. Far too much to do! - Fess up friends! When you window gaze is it because you are nosy or because it's just so lovely outside? We will still love you no matter what the answer.
Not gazing a lot, because there is not much to see.
Seeing the neighbours walk to or from their car isn't much of a spectacle.
I see some tops of trees and top of roofs. I have to lean forward to see a birdfeeder. I know it's there... the birds not yet...
And those grey skies are not very uplifting either. Never had such a grey winter as this year. - Daydreams can become reality if they stir us to action. Were there any times in your life when dreams came true?
Oh yes. But a lot of action was needed to get things in motion.
Most often I was blocked because of a lack of money. It seems that everything needs money these days.
I got my (medical) teaching job and got it. (Now I want money for it...LOL!)
Got head-editor or how it's called in english, of a paper.
Got acknowledged as a writer and poet, also as a science writer.
Did a lot of ballet, including performances and tours, teaching and choreography.
Played in a bagpipe band as bagpiper.
etc etc.
Survived lethal heart issues.
And became a veteran psychologist.
Now I am trying to walk after being told I probably would never be able to walk again.
And would love to live in a tiny house in the UK. Which probably will never happen (money!), but you'll never know.
.
Don't ever give up hope! Perhaps some of your special "dreams" will come true yet. One day at a time...get those feet walking again first and then you may be surprised at what will happen! You've accomplished quite a few interesting and rewarding things in your lifetime! With such an active and creative mind as yours, there may be many new adventures yet ahead! So just work on getting healed first, and then you may see things happen!!
ReplyDeleteAt times I have an attack of realism. :) But I'll always have that dream.
DeleteIt took 50 years to return to England...and that happened too.
Hugs
I can walk but I can't breathe well, so I spend a lot of time in my comfy chair. You have a great list of accomplishments, that's wonderful. Remember the words from today's song, "So dream, when the day is through
ReplyDeleteDream, and they might come true
Things never are as bad as they seem
So dream, dream, dream."
Thank you.
DeleteI think it doesn't matter where one spends the time, or how, as long as one is OK with it.
Adapting to whtever happens in life is very important for our wellbeing.
Hugs.
SOunds like some amazing dreams have happened and who knows what the future holds. Keep trying to walk...you can do it
