Great post! I'm a retired Twp. Treasurer and watched the Clerk prepare for every election. This post nails it. So many people feel it's a bother to vote these days.
ReplyDeleteYes, that's why the results are sometimes so very strange.
DeleteI consider voting an essential civic duty. And some people vote to leave a better tomorrow for others.
ReplyDeleteYes. It isn't an exhausted list.
DeleteThe problem is that there are people who see voting as a duty,, but don't see getting well informed to be the most important duty.
Yup, I can see all of those.
ReplyDeleteGood to hear.
DeleteI have definitely heard many (well, all) of those reasons for why and how people voted many a time...I did read recently that no matter what, we need to vote.. even if we at least know what/who we don't want to vote for..
ReplyDeleteMy post is here
Some research showed that many people don't even get informed and base their vote on ill reasons like: "he looks good" .
