Burst pipes - a tumultuous day 2

For the second time in a few weeks the adjacent neighbourhood had problems with the waterpressure due to a burst pipe.

Again it was repaired..

I guess they've put too much pressure on the water when putting the pipes in use again... because now we, in our neighbourhood, got,what they call it here: a sinkhole.
As there was a lot of water and the waterpressure fell in our neighbourhood I just call it: a broken pipe. (Pipe breaks, gives way, toplayer breaks, water floods...

A car drove into it...

As the water still went through the pipe at high pressure the whole street was flooded: meaning the road and the side road.

We warned our journalist son, who took some photos for the paper.

Later, at sunset, he came back:

Son 4 had been visiting all day and on his way home (many hours after the repair of the pipe) he took a photo of the water at the busstop

Shortly after there was huge fire at the other side of the main road, near the canal.

But the day had more of disaster...

On his way home the trains had problems, and when they were on their way again they skipped the small railway stations to make up for lost time.
So my son couldn get off at the station he needed to be.
Had to drive all to the next main city, take the bus home.

He was lucky that son1 was in the country. So son1 gave some instructions how to collect proof of the delay, so he would get part of his money back.
