LAYER 1; tell us your...
- Eye color: Blue-grey
- Hair color:
copper-brown is my natural colour
Greyish, painted as close to my natural colour as possible - Height:
1.74 m. But I might have shrunk a bit. - Righty or lefty: most of the time right, but I can write with left too.
LAYER 2: What's...
- Your heritage: Fom ancestors: My father's side: Scottish influence. My ancestor was a military Scot (from Auldearn) who came to Europe and was a very musical man. My mother's side: The ancestors came from the east of the country here, they were weavers and spinners. We see in each generation: teachers, musicians, writers, painters and dancers. I see it back in myself, except for the painting, I do it with a camera. I have also some Native blood, which shows clearly in the looks of one of of my daughters. To the children: The way I raised my children My family stories and other writings A few valuables and the things I collected. ( I think my fountainpens and some artworks have some value).
- The shoes you wore today: Some old house shoes. Not going out.
- Your weakness: Tidying my house not fast enough Insecure at times I'm a a perfectionist, so some things I won't start because I oversee the mess created by a failure.
- Your fears: Ending up iving here in an apartment building. I'm afraid of fires in buildings. In high buildings the elevators won't work during a fire and I'm afraid not to be able to get out.
- Your perfect pizza: No italian herbs, no olives, no cheese... So I don't like pizza at all, except for some strange spinach pizza I got a few years ago. For me the perfect pizza is one I don't smell and don't have to eat.
- Goals you’d like to achieve: Writing a book about my view on the world, and solutions. I need at least 6 months, preferably a year at a place where it's quiet enough to write and think, where I can walk on the beach Starting a home for veterans somewhere in the UK. Living single, preferably in the UK.
- Your first waking thoughts: What's the time?
- Your best physical feature: Pffff.... Don't know. My eyes?
- Your most missed memory: Huh? If I miss the memory I won't know I had it...
LAYER 3: Do you...
- Smoke: No.
- Cuss: Yes. I can and I do at times. At university I was the host for first year students during their first 2 weeks there. I always got the ones who came directly from the army. Sometimes still wearing their military gear. They tried to impress me, test me, etc etc. I learned quite a lot of words, and used them without blinking and without blushing. Veterans sometimes test me... Haha!!!
- Sing: Oh yes!!
- Do you think you’ve been in love: I am sure of that!
- Did you go to college: I don't know all those schooknames and -types. I went to kindergarten - age 4 & 5 Basic school - age 6-12 Atheneum - age 12-18 University
- Liked high school: We don't have high school. Here you go to a certain level of school, even when the first year is about the same. Gymnasium is with Latin and Greek, which was my first year. Atheneum is without Latin and Greek, which I took year 2 to 6 These schooltypes prepare for university. In the third year a choice is made for subjects which are taught during the last years. I liked my time at the gymnasium/atheneum. Not every aspect of it, but I had a lot of good times.
- Believe in yourself: The last years I started to do so. But I have always believed in certain skills or talents.
- Think you’re attractive: Hmm, the past year I have something interesting for others I've found out. Maybe it's because I don't act the way they expect. I feel a lot younger. There is at least one person who considers me attractive.
- Think you’re a health freak: No!!!! I know a lot about health and medicine, but I am not acting very healthy. Can't afford healthy food all the time. I think living is more imporant than trying to get the right supplement or keeping my body fit and fun. The past 2 years I have been struggling with ligaments and joints, especially my knees and left arm. It bothers me that getting old means getting a worse condition. So I try to make my body keep up with what I want.
- Like thunderstorms: Depends where I am.
- Play an instrument: Yes. A lot of instruments. Today played guitar, flute and when the neighbours made too much noise I played the highland bagpipes with a bad reed. LOL!
LAYER 4: In the past month have you…
- Drunk alcohol: Yes. Had Bailys Tiramisu. My daughter got a bottle and her friends almost emptied it, but they left a bit for me to taste. And I got a whisky for my birthday.
- Smoked: No
- Done a drug: No
- Made out: What does that mean?
- Gone on a date: No.
- Gone to the mall: Yea, once. Saw glasses and want them, but they seem to be sold out.
- Eaten an entire box of Oreos: Ugh, no!
- Eaten sushi: Would have loved to eat it yesterday.
- Been on stage: Not the past month, but I have been there often in the past.
- Been dumped: No.
- Gone skating: Not in the past month, alas.
- Gone skinny dipping: In the past month? It's winter here!!! Does skinny dipping in your own bath in the bathroom count?
LAYER 5: Have you ever…
- Played a game that required removal of clothing: Never.
- Been trashed or extremely intoxicated: Never. I had a bit too much to drink last year when I was with the veterans. It didn't matter being 10 m from my tent. I was the last going to bed. Foud it immediately. Had no headache the next day.
- Been caught “doing something”: Stealing a cookie when I was 6.
- Been called a tease: Never.
- Gotten beaten up: As a child by my mother.
LAYER 6:
- Age you did get/hope to be married: I was 24.
- How do you want to die: Under the trees.
- What did you want to be when you grew up: Astronaut and doctor.
- What country would you most like to visit: So many on my wishlist. Iceland might happen. Nepal probably won't happen. Mali will never happen.
LAYER 7: Now tell...
- Name a person you could trust with your life: JJ, but also Paul, Richard, Stan and some others.
- Name a favorite CD that you own: I don't have just 1 favorite .
- Number of piercings: Had 6, now 5 piercings in my ears. I think 2 have closed..
- Number of tattoos: None. But I would like a small bracelet, or a small lotus on my left arm.
- Number of times my name has appeared in the newspaper: Don't know. I ran the paper of a friend for a year...
- Name a past experience that you regret:
Marrying.
Hi Syl! College is the same as University and high school is the same as your atheneum.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry to hear about your childhood.
I have a lot of piercings in my ears too. Loved your answers. Happy Valentine's Day and have a nice weekend. ♥

Thanks! I saw your answer on the piercings. 5 too! Have a happy Valentine Day too...
DeleteI didn't note the childhood beatings in that question; some days I just don't want to think about that. That question on memory seemed to throw all of us. I would love to play guitar with you!
ReplyDeleteSorry. Well, maybe one day we'll see each other and play or sing. Would be nice!
DeleteHa Ha - Bagpipes? Brilliant.
ReplyDeleteI would recommend Iceland. It was a lot of fun.
:o)
Cheers
PM
Yea, the Highland ones. They stoppe their noise. LOL! I also have chamber pipes. They're more mellow. Now I want even more to go to Iceland. LOL! Enjoy your day!
DeleteI hope that you can write your book.
ReplyDeleteAfter reading your answers, I realize I forgot to answer one. I had a "white pizza" when I visited New York. It has four white cheeses on it and no red sauce. It was so good! I feel younger in my mine. but my body remind me of my age with its aches and pains.
ReplyDeleteAh, "making out." Lots of cuddling and fondling and slow, warm kisses. All with clothes on. I think it can be more intimate and romantic than lovemaking. We do it less as adults and I admit it, I miss it. (Maybe all the Valentine's talk is getting to me.)
