Tuesday 4 - Reading

I have such a busy life, that reading a complete book happens only once or twice a year.
Not that I don't want to read, I have loads of books, and I keep looking for them in second hand shops and book-take-aways.

So I don't have interesting answers.
Isn't life in itself sometimes too interesting, too time-consuming or simply not worth living again?

  1. What book has changed your perspective on life the most, and why?

    I don't know.
I used to read a lot, to know other parts of the world, to get to know other lives.
All those books made me aware that each life is individual, all challenges are individual, even though we can share experiences.

Mybe one of the books that changed the outlook was a book I found in the grown-up library.
I had read all books of the children's department and was allowed to explore the grown-up area of nature and space.
I found myself dreaming of going to Mars. My feelings of awareness stretched much further than earth, and it made me feel like we can always dream even though we can't realize the dream.

  2. If you could live inside the world of any book, which would you choose and what role would you play?

Dunno....probably a science fiction book, being the explorer...

  3. What’s a book you initially disliked but grew to appreciate over time?

No idea If I dislike a book I put it away. Time is too precious to spend it on dislikes and try to like a book. It's hard enough to deal with people I dislike and treat them polite and respectful.

  4. If you could rewrite the ending of any book, which would it be and how would you change it?

I would rewrite the book of my life, and start at age 20 and change everything!
    How? Less fighting for everything.

  1. I enjoyed your answers. Your references to science fiction made me think of my ambition to live in the Star Trek universe when I was a teenager. I'm with you about books I dislike. I have no time trudging through a book I don't enjoy!
