Friday 5 - Achtung, baby!

  1. What should people be careful about in your neighborhood?

    Gossip!
    Uneven floortiles and upcoming treeroots.

  2. What’s a common pitfall for beginners in your field of work (or your most recent field of work)?

I am a psychologist for veterans.
People who start in the field often think they know what they have to do and they have textbook solutions. What I was taught by an army chaplain and what my experience is is that just being there, listening, trying to understand the person and how he deals with problems is a start of a supporting relationship.

  3. When have you recently regretted not being as careful as you should?

When I was walking in the bathroom two days before I left for Egland. I was wearing my son's old socks and stumbled over them, hurt my toe very bad, didn't present the thick painful toe to the doc and now I have perniosis... Not good for a diabetic... And I hate to go to a doc for something like that!!

  4. Which is more stressful: the feeling your car is about to break down, or the feeling your computer is about to break down?

Haha...I don't have a car, so it's the second one anyway.

  5. Which warnings do you happily ignore with no apparent consequences so far?

    Don't know... I don't get many warnings...
    oh...Oh I know!!!

I was told not to take Ibuprofen. I am a kidneypatient and when taking too much too long is not good. But they make it into a complete nono. Well, I have discovered that my kidneyfunction goes up (which is good) when I take a moderate amount of ibuprofen.
So if painkilling is needed...Ibuprofen it is. Duh!
