Huge fire

It wasn't even 6 in the morning when I woke up and checked the news. There was a huge fire a few streets away from where my daughter lives.
She lives at a square, but the surrounding streets are narrow, and not easy to access for the firefighters.
Soon it was clear the fire might have started in (probably) a shed between the houses. So it was even more difficult to get it extinguished.

While all the firefighters of the surrounding areas were called to assist, the fire took hold of two houses.
The smoke was awful.
By that time my daughter had contacted us, as there had been a huge phone alarm for the aera, to close all doors, windows and shut off the ventilation.

The smoke was already entering her hall.
Then a signal was given that asbestos might be involved.

So we discussed she'd better leave the house, wearing a mask even inside the house.
And she'd better not touch anything, as asbestos is very nasty.
She already knew that.

In the meantime the whole block of houses around the fire was evacuated.
The firefighters did everything to keep the fire contained.
One person was brought to hospital as he had inhaled a lot of smoke,

We followed the news all day.

The fire raged on for 6 to 7 hours, before they were in control of it.
It took many hours more to extinguish the fire.
Even 12 hours later they were still working on it.
It will take many more hours to get the fire completely extinguished.

The people who were evacuated had either gone to the official location or to the neighbourhood bar.
The council arranged cathering, and for those who couldn't go back to their houses this evening they arranged a hotelroom.

The all clear of asbestos was announced, which was a huge relief.

It was found out that the fire in between the houses was not in a shed, but in a large building with on top some sort of an apartment. It looked like a huge extension of the house.

During the evening it turned out that the people in the street had warned the council long before (more than 2 years) that the area was at risk for a cityfire. The city however was handcuffed by procedures and rules.

Then later in the evening it was announced that a body had been found.
So sad, so sad.

The houses can't be accessed because of the huge danger of collapse.
7 houses are destroyed.

Update:

The next morning another body was found.
