Bye Weekend - 4

Quite a busy weekend.

On saturday Mr. J received a message from the hospital on his phone: appointment on next monday 9.30 hours.
He doesn't do mornings.
He was kind of in a panic: what to do? He couldn't cancell it.
He even tried to call, but there is none at the department in the weekend. And the clinics won't take outpatient calls.
So I said he should write a mail to the complaint person, as this happens more often and it's against all policies.
Between invite and appointment there should be far more days, as there is a 3 day rule for cancelling: you should cancell at least 3 days before. Well, when the invite is not even 2 days before, and there has been no agreement about a message or call to fill in the appointment of a drop out, so...

When he left to visit son4, we had a birthday celebration with the girls.
It was very nice and surprising.
Even before I got presents son2 dropped in with a present from a friend.
As I am a dollhouse freak and thoroughly enjoyed my first 1:24 project, she got me another kit, and  lovely card. I am not all for kits, but at 1:24 it's good to find out what I can do or can't, as the neuropathy often makes the top of my fingers without any sense of touch. It is good to find out that careful eye-hand coordination and sometimes tweezers and an embroidery needle do the trick.

Got a lovely card from the daughter who lives in another town. And a nice and useful basket with all sorts of items: a giraffe (I collect giraffes), a giraffe print thin fleece with tassels (a perfect artistic fit on a rocking chair), a few candles, and a small giraffe flower pot. So lovely!!!

The daughter who lives at home knew I loved her purple raincoat. So I got one too.
It's thinner than the raincoat I have and a far better one for travelling. The pockets are very deep. And thought the material is maybe not as strong as the other coat, I expect it to be of better use.
Last year, during the Market Garden remembrance it rained as I have seen never before. I sat there and I got soaked... to the bone! This one enables me to wear a cardigan underneath and still hide in it.
So I was very happy.

But I got another surprise.
I had a  >>>  tipi-tent  <<< on the wishlist and we're going to have a look if it's a good one.
As it's high I can stand in it if needed, it's large enough to put a military bed in it, which makes it easier to get up and lie down.
And we can go all three, which will be nice.
But first we have to see if it's solid enough.

I felt a bit uneasy as they'd spent so much money for my birthday.

They also ordered poke bowl, with lots of fish, veggies and avocado.

So we had a good afternoon.

To prevent Mr. J from getting jealous I took a lot of the presents upstairs.

Couldn't tke a nice photo I got upstairs, LOL! He looks older than I do, but is half my age. Oh my!!!

The sunday was like the past sundays: Star Trek, tiny chores, listening to all sorts of remarks, getting the bin out in the evening, folding laundry and listening more.
Imagine a day without someone talking to me!

We were lucky the oldest brought some pies for the freezer last week. I love pies, epsecially the mushroom & chicken ones.
